Bumps?

Hi, I'm new, but I've been reading for a while. If anyone can help me figure this out, I'd be soooo grateful.

For the last couple of months I've had these bumps on parts near/on my vagina. There are maybe 6 or 7, mostly from on the very outer lips toward the back and some closer to the butt area. They're not red or white, just flesh-colored, but they are raised and I can kind of pinch and pull them without any pain whatsoever. In fact, there is no feeling in them at all really-sort of like when you pull on that skin on your elbow and you can't even feel it. What are these things?? I've been tested for STD's and was clear, but my fiance did have a case of mild warts last year. We didn't even touch each other for that time until they had been gone for about a month and he was done with his meds for them. They don't really bother me at all, I just kind of am curious about them. I don't use any lubricants or lotions or creams or anything and haven't used any new products whatsoever since they've appeared.

Any ideas????

Thanks!

HPV isn't something that clears up with medication, so if he had warts, he still has them (and likely you do too so it could be that). Could also be blocked pores? Have you been sweating more lately?

sorry, I should have posted a link

Assuming they were HPV warts. You can get plenty of kinds of warts that can pop up anywhere on the body.

Although I think they probably are, just devil's advocate and all.

You're right, that was a pretty big assumption.

HPV (the virus that causes warts) is ridiculously common because it can be spread when there are no visible symptoms (warts), and treatment of warts does not cure the virus. So even though your fiance had his warts treated, chances are that you have been infected as well. However, not everyone who has HPV develops symptoms. The only way to know for sure if your bumps are warts is to see a doctor. It may not be warts at all.

you can have HPV without having the warts for it. It's likely that if he has them, you do as well unless you've been a super-hardcore extreme condom user. 85% of people 15-mid twenties that have had multiple sexual partners (more than one) have some form of HPV. I'm not going to diagnose you or anything like that of course, but I'd suggest going to your local clinic or PCP to get them checked out. There's also a space of time between contracting an STI and having it show up on a test. I don't know the exact gap though, sorry :(

Condoms don't protect against HPV, they only reduce the risk. There is currently no method of preventing contraction of HPV if you are in physical contact with someone.

The location of your bumps is the most likely place for HPV to manifest warts on a woman, so it is very likely it could be that. The only other thing I could think of is that they might be skin tags. Whichever they are the only way to get rid of them is to have them surgically, cryogenically or lasered off.

It sounds like warts btu don't get freaked out. They are really easy to get rid of and like others have said really common.

Other people have covered worst-case scenarios, but it could also be just fine.

I know I have something that sounds very similar. My doctor says some people just have "chicken skin" like this (I have it very lightly in a few other places, but it's most obvious in my groin). Or it could be clogged pores. Or I've heard of something called KP, I think? Keratin something, and it basically means your body produces too much keratin, which forms around hair follicles and creates little lumps like that.
