(no subject)

This is just something I have been wondering about... and since I haven't heard of anyone else talking about this, I'm going to post about it anyhow.

Sometimes my clit gets really really sensitive, and I'm not talking about when I'm masturbating, but just at random times. I could be bowling or... just walking. I'm not aroused when it happens. It usually hurts pretty bad... and i have no idea why. Every time it has happened I hadn't been doing anything before hand down there... So it makes me even more confused. Anyone have an idea of why this happens?

Hello, a question about pain...

(I posted this a while back, but it was a friends only post, and I didn't get many replies at all and really no answer, so I thought I'd give it another shot without going friends only  -_-)

Hi there. This seemed like a good place to ask, you peoples seem to know the answers to a lot of things.

Basically, my problem is,at various stages of arousal I start getting pains in that entire area. Sometimes it's very localized and mild, like an ache in my vulva and the area surrounding it, and sometimes the entire works down there seem really achey and congested, including interally. Sometimes I only feel it after I orgasm, and sometimes I start feeling it the minute I get a tiny bit aroused. Sometimes it doesn't hurt unless I touch down there, sometimes it hurts very much without agitation. It -seems- to change according to my cycle, but honestly, as I am not actually sexually active and never have been I don't really monitor my cycle all that closely. It does seem to happen mostly around my period, both before and after, so maybe it's hormone related?

I'm unsure what on earth these pains could be, or how to make them stop. Sometimes it hurts -really- bad, and that's obviously not a good thing. If I had to describe what they feel like, it feels kind of like... like the blood vessels (or whatever is down there that could be hurting) are congested and full. It doesn't -sting-, it's more of a deep ache, and when I kind of probe around the areas of the pain (just inside the labia majora and outside the labia minora) I can sort-of feel some tiny, painful lumps, almost like congested blood vessels. The lumps and pain subside gradually. When the internal stuff is involved as well, it almost feels like a menstrual cramp, albeit much more mild than they cramps I get while menstruating.

Also, I -think- I may have endometriosis, although after talking with some of the girls at the endo community it seems if I have it it's fairly mild compared to them. Don't get me wrong, I'm in horrible, horrible pain when I menstruate, but it seems somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes it's absolutely awful just-let-me-die-already pain with nausea, sometimes it's merely horrible but I survive somehow.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing it? I'd appreciate any help.

UTI's

For the last week I have been taking Macrobid for the worst UTI I've ever had. This is my thgrid or fourth one this year, so I am pretty frustrated with myself right now. I eat pretty well, drink a good amount of fluids, wipe properly, pee immediately after sex (which I haven't had in 2 months, so this UTI wasn't from that). Etc.

My mom said it might be from a change in diet. Is this possible?
Secondly, does a brazilian wax make one more prone to UTI's?

I am now thinking of starting to take cranberry supplements daily to prevent this. Can anyone recommend a reliable brand to try? Will taking the supplements put a lot of stress on my bladder?

Another bikini wax question!

I was told to grow my hair out to 1/4 inch before making a bikini wax appointment. I haven't shaved for 2 weeks or so and it's not even close to 1/4 inch. Anyone who has experience with this, how long does it take to grow out that far?

Thanks so much for anyone who helps :)

Toy Boxes

This is only partially vagina-related -- please forgive the tangent. I'm too embarassed to post this elsewhere. Embarassed may not be the correct description.....uncomfortable may be better.

Anyway, what I wanted to know is how/where/in what do you store your toys? We have a few dildos, some vibrators, lube, etc. While I don't intend to hide my sexuality from my daughter, I also don't want her carrying my red dildo around the house. Especially if Granny was there for a visit.

So, right now they are in a plastic bin in the top of the closet. Since she's 2.5, she can't get to them yet. We could even use the top drawer on the dresser.... But the closet will only work for a few years. I know I was getting my dad's Playboy and Penthouse out of his closet by age 10 or earlier.

Which probably means getting something opaque that locks. If she's as nosy as I am, it'll definitely have to lock! I've often joked that my kids will need to have a privacy chest to keep me from knowing all their business. I already know that if they leave a note or letter or journal out, it'll be read. That's years down the road, though, so maybe I'll grow some respect for other people's privacy.

(Edited to say that I tried to do a cut....I need more practice.)

pms=depressed

So back in Sept. I stopped taking the pill and have found that since I have been off of it the 2 or 3 days before my period I am really depressed. It's like someone flipps a switch while I sleep and all of the sudden I wake up and feel mentally awful. It last for like 2-3 days and then I get my period and its gone and I'm fine. Does anybody else get this?? I know that it didn't happen while I was on the pill and before I started taking the pill so whats up with it now? I'm not sure if it is some form of pms or whatever but it sucks.

I just wanted to know if this happens to others and if it does/did happen to you did you go back on the pill and have it get better? I am planning on going back on the pill so hopefully it will stop.

By the way, on the depressed issue- I am aware of the symptoms of real depression and seeing a counselor and all that jazz. To be clinically depressed I think you have to feel a bunch of symptoms for 2 weeks while I only feel some symptoms for 2-3days.

Thanks

Tea Tree Oil Questions...

i bought a small bottle of Tee Tree Oil for cleaning my diva cup, however i have a few questions about using it to treat thrush should i ever choose to...i've never used any natural remedies before, just OTC's and diflucan (sp).

in the archives it says something about dipping a tampon in lube or olive oil and then adding a few drops of TTO, is this necessary? is olive oil good for my vulva?

i bought 100% TTO, its a very small bottle...i know it would need to be diluted but the only thing i could find with i googled it talked about diluting it when it was only 40% TTO. i figured this would be fine for cleaning my cup (just a few drops) but do i need to buy something different if i use it to treat yeast?

i was also wondering about vinegar treatments? would i just use 100% pure vinegar? i think i've seen something in hear about apple cider vinegar? is that safe to use? to bath in? to treat with a tampon? or to clean my cup with?

any info or advice you can give me would be very much appreciated!

i LOVE vaginapagina! all of you women rock!

Implant Question

Hello everyone. My mother has had implants for almost a year and she's fully recovered. On February she's going to go get a mammogram done. What I was wondering is, since she has implants in her breast, they can't be squeezed too much because they may burst; and I know that in mammograms they do. So my question is, how is it that they do a mammogram when you have implants?
