vaginapagina | Paragard IUD, severe cramping on period and slightly less severe cramping often without period.

I've had the Paragard IUD for a little over two years now and the cramps I get when I have my period are excruciating. Like, I know no period cramps are exactly pleasant but these are so throbbingly painful I often cry. When I'm not on my period, I never spot but I get cramps very often which are really annoying obviously but not as severe as when my period is around. Hot baths, pain killers, etc. seem to help a teensy bit but they are still unbearable :(

I unfortunately have no insurance now and can not afford even a sliding scale appt. at Planned Parenthood, so I am hoping some of you lovely people might be able to shed some light on what I am going through. Thanks in advance!
