Am I peeing too much?

I've been eating healthier, and therefore, trying to drink more water. I drank a liter of water over the course of about an hour and a half or so. A little while later, I peed before I left the house, peed when I got somewhere 20 minutes later, and then felt like peeing again 30 minutes after that. So, three times in a little over an hour.

Is that a normal amount to pee when consuming that much water? I'm perfectly hydrated and feel fine, no UTI symptoms or anything. When I do go to the bathroom, it's a normal amount, not just a trickle. No burn, though sometimes I get a weird tingle like an urge to pee. I'm attributed that to irritation/yeast infections though, and have had it for more than a month off and on with no other symptoms.

Yesterday, I drank a lot of water but it was spaced out more. I think I was peeing once an hour.

This is totally normal. Last summer I started drinking more water in an effort to make my body feel better and while it has, it's also come with the frequent peeing. I don't mind, though. Frequent peeing means less UTIs for me!

Yep, normal. Have you just increased your water consumption? You might find your urge to pee consolidates over time so you don't have to go as often. I also find that once I 'break the seal' I go more...so if I'm at work and I have 32 ounces of water and a big cup of tea, I'm fine for several hours UNTIL I pee. Then, I have to go every half an hour after that for a while.

One other thought is to pound the water. I know, everyone says "drink it slowly over time." But, if you need to reduce your trips to the loo, I've noticed that if it all goes in at once, it tends to all come out at once, too. :)

well, according to Dr Google, the average human bladder capacity is 700-800 cc, or 700-800 ml. you put a lot of liquid into your system, you get a lot of liquid out. :)

I can very directly relate how often I pee to how much I drink. And if I'm guzzling lots of water (or diet soda as I sometimes to >_< ), I will have to go very frequently.

regular soda = less frequently than diet soda for me.. so funny! (maybe due to the sugars?)

I am the same way though.. lots of fluid = lots of trips to the bathroom!

If you're putting lots in, then lots is likely to come out :)

Agreeing with everyone here -- it also might be that at first you'll pee a lot more because your body is letting go of some of the water it has stored up for a while. When you drink lots of water like that, your body doesn't feel the need to store its reserves. In other words, totally normal :)
