Hurts to pee

I went to the gyno a couple hours ago. She did a 'vaginal swab' but, she put it in my pee hole, and I have no clue why. But, it was extremely painful. After that...I got lightheaded. 

When I went to go pee afterwords, it was seriously horrible and it was bleeding.

Now, five hours later, I need to pee...but it's serious so excruciating....what should i do?

Also, in the NuvaRing pamphlet, they warn against inserting the Ring into the urethra. So maybe in some people, the urethra is more open and prominent than is usually seen?

I've been on the NuvaRing for four years. I have... NO... idea how you would fit it in there. Much less mistakenly! EEP. *cringes at the thought*

That makes sense -- I think urethral size varies more than one would think. But still, OP's doctor seems to be seriously unprofessional if she could mistake the two. Holy shit.

i can tell you that when inserting a foley cath (urine catheter) sometime you do insert it in the vaginal cavity not the urethra. genitalia is usually not as neatly laid out as shown in the text books. I have seen some women with very large urethral openings.
