erotica

So I'm a 22 year old bisexual female, suffers from depression, on a basic birth control pill, and I pretty much have zero sex drive most of the time.

I've searched the tags for erotica recommendations, and have made a list, now I'm asking for some more. I'm thinking maybe erotica will help me turn myself on when my mind just won't do it for me, because the lack of sex is becoming a huge problem in my relationship. My boyfriend is pretty understanding, but sometimes he just needs to scratch that itch, and me saying no is too much, and I don't blame him. My lack of sex drive annoys me too.

So can anyone recommend some good erotic fiction? I'm probably looking more for collections of short stories than fiction that has steamy scenes. I'd like something that I can just pick up and flick through for ten or so minutes. I already own Best Lesbian Erotica 2011, and this is the kind of thing I'm looking for. I'm completely fine with buying online/from overseas also because none of the bookstores in my town carry erotic fiction (I know, I've looked), and I'm used to buying books online. I'm also completely fine with any sort of fiction recommendation, I'll take straight ones, gay ones, BDSM ones, or any other sort of thing there is out there. I'd just really like to know what you guys like to read.

Thanks for helping a girl out!

Have you heard of "The Leather Daddy and the Femme" by Carol Queen? It's a full book, but it's relatively easy to skip around to the steamy parts if that's what you're in the mood for. It's definitely one of my favorite pieces of erotica.

Omg, this is my absolute favorite piece of erotic fiction ever written, ever. Excellent recommendation!! It was actually originally published in parts in a magazine, so each chapter can stand on its own (and nearly all of them are steamy), though I definitely recommend reading it in order.

Also, check out the archives over at http://www.cleansheets.com They have archives going back years and while some of the stories/categories are definitely better than others, there are enough good ones there that it's definitely worth looking through to see if anything strikes your fancy.

Wow, I cannot WAIT to read this book! Glad you posted it!

I really enjoyed The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sleeping_Beauty_Trilogy). Good erotic reading.

Also, Literotica.com for online stories.

I'm not a fan of literotica (I've found the writing to be pretty low grade & some of the s/m to be pretty questionable, ethically) but there is a lot of variety there & one should definitely form one's own opinion.

literotica is definitely hit or miss. I feel that about a few paragraphs in you can usually tell if the story is worth reading. There's A LOT on there so I have found good stories as well.

I'm quite fond of Anais Nin's erotica. Her diaries I can't stand, but you may like them as an added bonus.

Also, purely because nobody else has mentioned it, do you think your decreased sex drive may be due to the pill you're using?

This is, indeed, a possible factor -- there are people who can lose their libido when on HBC. (Certain brands of HBC, estrogen-containing HBC, certain kinds of progesterones, or all HBC entirely. Depends on the person.)

Fair enough. Normal fluctuations are a bugger if they're inconvenient to you. Especially if they coincide with a depression cycle. I hope the erotica helps:)

I would also like to recommend literotica.com (http://www.literotica.com). The audio sections are nice (sometimes I like to just hear, listen) in addition to the great reads.

I'm excited to see the responses to come. :)

You might check out Circlet Press-- on tablet, so I can't easily link the site, but a quick keyword search should find it. They have free erotica and non-free books, both.

Xxxenophile (another trip to Google), by Phil Foglio, is also pretty great. It is drawn, so everyone is cartoonily well-endowed, but there are some really sweet parts amongst the sex.

and me saying no is too much,

It may be annoying, but anyone always has the right to say no, no matter how much their partner desires sex.

Off topic, but have you tried welbutrin (brupopion) for depression? I take it and my sex drive is through the roof, this is a known and documented side effect. Maybe a non hormonal iud is another considerarion. HBC killed my sex drive for the longest. Now that I have my copper buddy and my "happy pills" me and my husband and hornier and happier.
