Bloody woes..
Okay, so. I'm on the pill. I missed two pills last weekend because of familystuff, and as expected I got some crampage, but I was back on schedule, and have been. NORMALLY when I get my period, I am in pain for one day, maybe two, TOPS three. But I've been in on and off pain, all day, since Sunday. It's like, an uber heavy period. Is that normal? Has that happened to some ladies who mess up their pills? I've done it before, but usually what happens is a few hours of cramping, spotting, and it's done. At what point should I consider going to a doctor?

Can you quantify what you mean by uber heavy? How long is it taking you to saturate/fill a menstrual product? If you're going through one an hour for multiple hours, that's basically the point of "seek medical attention now."
Has that happened to some ladies who mess up their pills?
I'm not a lady, and neither is everyone who uses birth control pills, but it definitely happened to me if I was even an hour late with one pill. I get the feeling most uteri aren't as finicky as mine are, but breakthrough bleeding after missing a couple of pills is pretty common. If you've taken more than 21 active pills since your last hormone-free week or if pregnancy is otherwise not a concern, you can take a pill-free break (of about 4-7 days) to see if your uterus will reset.
At what point should I consider going to a doctor?
In addition to the pad/tampon/cup per hour stipulation above, if you start experiencing symptoms like dizziness or undue fatigue, that's also a sign to seek medical attention sooner rather than later. Beyond that, breakthrough bleeding -- while often sucktastic -- is pretty normal, though it may also make sense to contact your doc if the bleeding persists after your next placebo week.

And uh. Sorry about the ladies comment, didn't mean to offend o.o;
