HBC Day One Start

I have many questions!

First of all, my boyfriend is in the Air Force so I don't get to see him very much. I was on OTC Lo regularly for about a year until he shipped, now I'm just refilling my prescription and taking it when I have a trip planned to see him coming up. Could going on and off birth control sporadically mess my body up?

Speaking of which, I get to see him in 12 days! I was off the pill last month, so for this new month I want to start my pack on the first day of my period instead of the Sunday after to make sure I'm protected. Do I start it tomorrow, Sunday, since it'd be the start of my placebo/period week if I were on the pill or do I wait until I actually start bleeding (Tuesday-ish)?

You can start your pills any time you want. However, unless you start on the first day of your period (when you start bleeding, regardless of the calendar day), you will need to use backup for 7 days afterwards (though that won't matter if you start less than 5 days from now). I hope that makes sense!
