Let's try this again, Condoms??
For those of you who only use condoms for contraceptive purposes, what are your favorite kinds? What kinds have you found problems with? How many of you have had scares? Personal experiences are a must in this situation! I appreciate all responses! Thanks!

We use Durex Fetherlites, which are the UK version of Durex Ultra Sensitive, or something like that, though they aren't exactly the same. Since for me, there is very little sensation difference from one condom to another (aside from the amount of lube on them) I usually leave condom choice up to my partner, and he prefers those.
We've tried Trojans and "One" brand condoms, and the One's were very very nice, especially the extra thin version, but my boyfriend needs the larger size, and the One's don't come in a thin+large version, so we stick with the Fetherlites, which are larger than the standard US condom.

I like the boysenberry ones because they make my boyfriends junk smell like pie.
No scares/breaks.

For some reason its only with them I can feel...um, extreme warmth of a penis? lol

I picked up a box of Durex condoms the other day and I'm pleasantly surprised at the milder smell these ones give off. Since we don't have much experience with Durex, I can't recommend them, but I'm thinking about alternating between the two brands now.

My scares have always been from a late period, never from a condom break.

Never any breakage scares either.

I love these. Almost no smell to them either.

I really hate the mutual pleasure/warming sensation/whatever they're called ones. They do nothing for me and one of my past partners complained that the heat was actually uncomfortable to him. And they kind of press down on the ridge below the head of the penis which just smooths everything out and kills a lot of the feeling for me.
I've used condoms with a spermicidal lube exactly once and never again. They burned and hurt like hell. Apparently my lady bits don't jive on nonoxynol-9.
We've also tried Durex brand condoms. I think it was just the regular, lubricated kind. That's what they handed out at the county clinic I used to go to. For some reason, they only gave out colored ones which was always slightly hilarious as my fiance and I would actually dig through the bag to find a certain color on some occasions. The green ones creeped me out a bit, though.
Only scare we ever had with a condom was when I somehow managed to catch the edge of it and pulled it off of him when he was pulling out. I took Plan B the next day and everything was fine. Since then, we pay extra attention to making sure that the condom is rolled all the way down and he grabs the base when he pulls out (which is how we should have been doing it anyway). I've never had a condom break.

Otherwise it's just HBC as primary source.
Haven't had any problems with the Trojans or the doctor provided :)

But I'd much rather use something plasticky than something latexy in my vag.

As far as them protecting from STI/STD's honestly - we use the same material for gloves in our lab and handle human biological materials all day without worry, so i really don;t think that there is much to worry about in that respect.

i dont like trojan ones, they made my vagina burn a bit and i had them break twice, so no.
i had a scare, with a condom i ironically got from PP at school. it was purple, ones of the ONE condoms i believe. anyway, it sucked.

what you should do is go to walmart or a drug store and buy a variety pack, that way you get to test out more than one and see what you like the best. :)

We never had any breaks/scares, and we used about 4 36-ct. boxes (plus a 3-ct and a couple of 12-ct boxes! hah). We were pretty careful about putting them on, changing them if they got a little dry, using lube with them, etc.

I've only had a scare with Trojan Supra Polyurethane as it broke on me. No other scares since then!

One scare -- we were doing "typical use" of not withdrawing immediately after ejaculation (which we have done in the past and will likely do in the future), and it slipped off before it was entirely outside of me, spilling the contents along the outside of my vulva.
In case any of them were superninjasperm, we did the "plan b" of the era, which was to use foam spermicide immediately in order to wage chemical warfare against the ninja. No pregnancy resulted.
We had a few other scares, but only of the "okay, I remember no accidents, but where the heck is my period?" kind. (My period was playing silly buggers because of undiagnosed hypothyroidism, I'm rather sure.)
Latex condoms have been used a bit, but they feel "draggy" to me, and too-tight to ze spouse. He prefers the lambskins.
We have never had a breakage with a lambskin.
Note that lambskins, however, are not believed to protect against STI transmission, but only against pregnancy.

I'm on the nuvaring now though so we only use condoms on toys and when we want easy cleanup.
Oh and my boyfriend hates trojans (I've never really tried them) and I don't like ribbed or studded, feels like sandpaper to me.
