i have two totally unrelated topics i want to address.

1) i've been doing Weight Watchers for a little over a month now. i've lost about 8 pounds, and that's nothing to sneeze at, really. but 5 of those 8 pounds came off during the placebo week of my birth control pills (LevLite). i'm not really looking for an answer to anything specific... but do you guys think it was just a coincidence? or is this how i should expect to lose weight--once every 4 weeks? haha. i gained about 25 pounds since i started BC (2.5 years ago), so i'm not really questioning the fact that it effects my weight.

2) i've seen commercials for a product called Bikini Zone that claims to remove red bumps from the bikini area. it seems a little too good to be true. i've got some righteous bumps around my bikini area, and i'm looking for a way to get rid of them before i start wearing a bathing suit regularly. is Bikini Zone something to try?

I'm losing an average of 8 lb a month (not on WW specifically, but on calorie limiting/high fibre, which is quite similar), and it looks something like this:

1st week after period: 4-6 lb loss
2nd week after period: 2 lb loss
3rd week after period: 0-1 lb loss
Week of period: 0 lb loss (sometimes even a gain)

What's going on, as far as I can tell, is that the water retention as I get closer to my period is masking my true weight loss. So, after my period, I lose the water I was retaining and my true weight shows.

So, the weight you may have lost could have been partly water weight, but -- WHO CARES? It's gone! Celebrate. :D
