I used to have really god awful periods that came every 18-21 days and were really fucking painful the first two days. That all changed when I started eating two tablespoons of ground flax seeds every day (or one tablespoon of flax oil). I eat in my oatmeal. Easy. Now my periods are normal (every 26-28 days) and the cramps aren't even half as bad and only really bother meo n the first day of my cycle. And I only get PMS when I'm really stressed.
Flax is your friend and, in my opinion, a better option than taking tons of hormones. I don't trust hormone treatments. There's really nothing that can convince me they're safe.
