Hii everyone.

Okay, so whenever my boyfriend and I have sex, the area around the vaginal entrance always gets dry and sore.
I try Vagisil, Monoistat, and Lubriderm to bring relief to the area, but nothing works.
I do shave, and take multiple unrelated medications.
I hear that those two factors could have an effect.
Does anyone else experience the itchy/dryness after sex/masturbation?
What can I do to resolve this?

thank youuu.

I second [livejournal.com profile] numbersnletters's suggestion to explore lube possibilities.

OP, to relieve some of the dryness and irritation once it's there, you might want to try JY Silk-E Vaginal Moisturizer (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=38977&catid=682&trx=PLST-0-CAT&trxp1=682&trxp2=38977&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-CAT). Normally, I'm not a huge fan of KY products, but this one is glycerin free, so it doesn't get sticky, and it's never given me a yeast infection. This is not a for-sex lube, but I use it when I'm inserting my Mooncup or -- in the past -- my Nuva Ring, or just when I'm feeling a bit dry.

For silicone for-sex lubricants, Pink (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=140638&catid=682&trx=PLST-0-CAT&trxp1=682&trxp2=140638&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-CAT) is my ultimate favorite because it's very slippery and also hypoallergenic. However, it's always been quite the luxury item for me (I usually resort to asking for it for my birthday); ID Millenium (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=73116&catid=682&trx=PLST-0-CAT&trxp1=682&trxp2=73116&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-CAT) is also pretty slick but more affordable, and sometimes more available. (My local Walgreen's stocks this on its shelves.)

And I've been on a long search for a long-lasting, non-sticky, non-bitter water based lube. As of a couple of days ago, I think I've found it: Sliquid H2O (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=139967&catid=682&trx=GFI-0-RVP-682&trxp1=682&trxp2=139967&trxp3=1&trxp4=1&btrx=BUY-GFI-0-RVP-682) might also be something you'd like to look into.

Um, in the 2nd paragraph? I totally meant KY. :)

I liked Liquid Silk for lube (it looks like boy cum and is not unpleasant tasting)

also Maximus by the same manufacturer is nice, if a bit tacky after a while.

Really? You found the taste of Liquid Silk okay? I thought it was too bitter.

hmmm...a lube that looks like boy cum? where can I pick up this Liquid Silk and is it glycerin-free?

I'm not sure where you can purchase it in a brick-and-mortar building; I'd imagine you'd have to go to a sex shop. You can, however, purchase it at Babeland (http://www.babeland.com/page/TIB/PROD/safe-sex-lubes/FC825050) and other sites online.

And yes, Liquid Silk is glycerin free. ;)

normally KY products make dryness worse for me, but I was in love with the Silk-E after I gave birth to my son last November, and after having a LEEP done this summer. I found that it helped ease the soreness around my entrance during foreplay and sex, and afterwards, i wouldn't feel like my vagina had just blown up. :)
