look out for the flooooood!

hi girlies :)

im always so wet. like, a flood. always! my poor panties... im not really into the whole liner thing since im prone to yeasties and other such issues, and half that time im not wearing undies anyway. (when i do, theyre cotton, dont worry.)

for the record: im 17, ive been in a monogamous relationship for a year and a half, ive been on ortho evra since... last october-ish, which i dont really think helps the issue. not that id even think of ever giving my amazing patches up.

anything i can do?

Cloth pantyliners, which you can make or buy from a retail outlet. Or period panties--underwear that has thicker cloth pads sewn right into them.

First of all, lucky you! There are some ladies who are bone-dry and would love to have your "problem". The dryness hits me sometimes, too, so don't take that beautiful wetness for granted.

Anyway, for the sake of your panties and your sanity allow me to offer menstrual cups as a suggestion. I have heard that some ladies who are - erhm - very well lubricated all the time wear them almost every day. That can get expensive, but it's cheap as free if you already have a Diva, Keep, Moon or comparable cup. I don't think there is a way to dry yourself up, but a cup could help you out a lot, especially on those days where you leave your panties at home.

Does anyone know if there is any vaginal health risk of wearing a cup like Diva more often than just when you're on your period? I would think that there is very little risk involved since TSS risk is pretty much nil with these things. Just keep it clean.

Hope this helps...

In all honesty, I would say as long as the excess wetness is not due to aninfection, it's completely healthy and normal, enjoy it!

Maybe no real advice: just empathizing. :)

I'm pretty wet most of the time, too. Soaking through my panties is a daily occurrence. Soaking through panties and pants happens pretty often, too. I also don't wear liners because of yeastie-proneness, and I don't go pantyless during the day because it's uncomfortable for me.

What does help me is to, when I can, change my underwear sometime during the day. As in, when I come home from work at 5pm or so, I'll change my underwear while I'm changing out of my work clothes. I haven't gone so far as to bring an extra pair of panties to work (I envision the scenario where I accidentally walk out of the restroom with them stuck to my shoe or something), so during the day, I just kind of deal with it.
