I got my period for the first time when I was at a summer camp 4 hours from home. I remember that I wasn't really upset at all, but I called my mom to tell her and she just kept saying "I am SOOOOOOOOO sorry Jonna" like it was something awful. All of the female counselors were treating me like my dog just died, or something.

After feeling my cup pop open for the first time, I thought "Oh wow! Why doesn't every woman use a cup?"
