What does it mean to let your vagina breathe? Why do you have to do it? Am I not supposed to wear underwear to bed? I tend to be leaky throughout my entire cycle, so I would think that would be kind of gross...

I just let mine breathe by wearing only cotton undies. It seems to work fine for me - I haven't had a yeast infection so far.
