HPV can also be transmitted via oral sex, which is why I warn all of my partners why I have it and let them decide whether they want to have sex or not. I am aware there are different types of HPV but I have gone to the doctor and talked about HPV testing and it appears that there is little they can do when it comes to diagnosing what sort of HPV it is unless it makes itself apparent such as genital warts (which is most likely not the kind I have as none of my partners have gotten them, and my current boyfriend does not have them) because testing for specific HPV types is expensive.
