Hello, I need some advice. I am using FAM to chart my fertility and as birth control. But the problem is I can't find my cervix. I know it's in there. It has to be and I've felt it during sex, but I either can't reach it or don't know what it feels like. This method says that you should check it to see when the position is open so you know when you are most fertile. Plus I want to know this so in a year when we start to try getting pregnant we can pretty easily. So, basically my question is how can I find my cervix and is it possible I've found it and don't know what it feels like? Can anyone offer me some advise? Thanks.

feeling your cervix

I've felt mine by crouching down in the shower into a squatting position. You have to really get your fingers up there (which can be hard, especially if you have a small vagina). That squatting position works best in my opinion.

You should be able to touch your cervix. Just feel around as far back in your vagina as you can. Feel that thing sticking out that feels kind of like your nose? That's your cervix. It is round, feels smoother than vaginal walls, and has a dimple in the middle of it. You should be able to feel all of these things.

Ditto about how it feels like the tip of your nose! & how you often need to squat down to feel it.

Also, it is lowest during ovulation (presumably so sperm don't have to make such a long journey!), so you should have better luck finding it then.
