I'm not on the NuvaRing, so I can't answer everything here, but...

It sits high up in your vagina, up around your cervix. So, sometimes you can feel it, but it is pretty high up and out of the way most of the time. It's possible to dislodge it during sex, but if you want, I believe it's okay to just take it out for a little while anyway, so it's not a big deal if that happens. My friend who has one says she can't feel it at all during sex, but her partner can sometimes - but that doesn't bother him at all.

Just like the pill, it regulates and will probably lighten/shorten your period (it's the same thing as the pill, just a lower dose and delivered locally).
