Something like this happened to me over the summer. One morning I was overtaken by incredible pain in my uterus- it wasn't anything like ovulation, and it wasn't cramps...it was just stabbing pain. It lasted for a few hours, and I ached for a week afterwards...it hurt to use the bathroom, cough, laugh, even sit down hard. I went to the doctor, who did a pelvic and STD screens, and came up empty. After that, an ultrasound was scheduled. In the time I was waiting for that to be done, I got the pain again. The ultrasound showed "nothing wrong" with me. It was suggested to me that perhaps certain sex positions my boy and I used were banging my cervix and uterus around too much...but I've had that happen before LOTS of times and never felt anything like that.

The jury's still out. My doctor thinks there is nothing wrong with me...*sighs*
