Taking my man to the gyno!

So, I made my annual pelvic exam appointment. My fiance wants to join in on the fun and come with to experience what going to the gyno is like. I'm relatively new to the whole going-to-the-gyno thing (it's only my second time). My question is, is he allowed to be in the room with me while my doctor is poking around down there? I'm honestly surprised he even wants to come with, haha.

Your OBGYN may ask him to leave the room to ask you a few questions in order to screen you for domestic violence or in order to give you a chance to be honest about any sexual encounters he's not aware of, but after that, he'll likely be more than welcome.

So long as you're 100% comfortable with him coming with you, good for him for wanting to be with you on this. =)
