Finally! The Archives are Fully Functional. (Plus More)
My dearest Vulva-Loving Superstars,
I cannot tell you what joy it gives me to announce that The Archives are finally up and running! It's an ongoing process so we plan to keep adding items as new entries pop up.
The main changes for the Archives are as follows:
+ All broken/dead links have been repaired/deleted
+ All Archive Items now have appropriate titles
+ All Archive Categories have been streamlined (in other words, there are fewer categories, making it more user-friendly)
+ The "Posted By" column has been removed (it's easier on the eye that way and slightly more respectful of people's privacy), although you'll still know who posted the entry when you click on the link and land at the LJ page.
+ A few links to relevant external websites have been added
A huge THANK YOU goes out to Our Archivists, Web Guru and other volunteers who have helped to make VP the amazing phenomenon that it has become over the years. This community could never be what it is without your contributions. We admin are especially grateful because with our growing numbers it has become nearly impossible for us to manage the site and LJ community on our own. Your help has been invaluable -- thank you so much.
But wait! That's not all we've been up to. Some of the other recent updates include:
+ New Articles
+ New Website Feature
+ New FAQ Entries
+ New Links
+ New, More User-Friendly Profile Page (updated layout and info)
+ New Journal Layout With Updated Links (made possible by the generosity of an anonymous donor via a paid LJ account - thank you!)
This email marks the culmination of hours and hours (and hours) of hard work on behalf of many wonderful people (on top of the usual daily maintenance issues), so I'm thrilled to finally be able to share this news with you all. Of course, if you have any suggestions about other things you'd like to see on the site/journal or if you notice something wonky going on w/r/t any of the updates, send an email to rockstarbob@livejournal.com.
