monistat-7 running out?

feel like i've been posting a lot lately. i've been having lots of vaginal angst and so here i am. (my fiance suggested i post here, which i found quite cute, especially since he referred to it as "vag-pag." he doesn't have LJ and has never been to the website, but has heard me mention it from time to time... though never as vag-pag.)

anyway, i started monistat 7 last thursday night and am supposed to insert an applicator-full into my vagina each night. my last night of this should be wednesday night well, i've been doing that, and obviously not overfilling the applicator (it's the disposables, if anyone's curious) since it's impossible to. also, it says i can put on some cream anywhere that's irritated or itchy, but i haven't. well, tonight i had to REALLY squeeze and i JUST barely got enough cream out to fill the applicator. i doubt i'll have an applicator-full tomorrow, and i probably won't have any at all on wednesday. i don't understand... shouldn't the tube have enough for a 7 day treatment? should i just use it all up in tomorrow's and try not to worry, or should i buy another kit just so i have enough for tomorrow and wednesday nights? i've been asymptomatic, so i can't even tell if i'm feeling better. i didn't even know i had it - i was told to treat it during a colposcopy, and the doc recommended 7 day treatment over 1 or 3 day.

also, who else likes or doesn't mind getting their period? when i used pads, i HATED getting it, and when i switched to tampons only, i didn't mind so much. however, once i started using the keeper this year, i actually don't mind at ALL getting my period. i'm considering progestin-only pills as well as the mirena IUD, and the thought of not getting my period makes me kind of sad. i mean, i know it's safe and all, and i am willing to forego my period in order to use one of those kinds of BC methods, but it's still just a little sad. i think i'd miss having my period.

I like getting my period too. Even before the pill, when it seriously hurt, I felt connected to it, you know? But I like it much better without all the pain and with a Keeper. ;)

I think it's 25% of women who stop getting period with the Mirena. I had so much spotting going on the first month and a half that I don't really know if I got it for sure, but today I'm having Big Ol' Cramps, so I think I may be getting one now. And honestly, not getting my period was something I worried a little about too, because I would miss it - but I feel like it's worth it, and I think I am probably still getting them, just kind of irregularly.

It's a reusable menstrual cup. It's better for your vagina because it doesn't absorb all the moisture, it just catches the blood. It's also better for the environment and much more ecomonical.

Check out this page (http://www.lunapads.com/alternatives/keeper.html) for a FAQ and more info. :)

so it catches your blood, kind of like a substitue tampon? is it just for sex or is it really to replace a pad or tampon during all menstration times?

Right, it's meant to be used like any other menstrual product, to catch flow all day (it can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time). You can't wear it during sex though, it wouldn't work at all - but there are cups meant for that. They are disposable and designed very differently (I have trouble wearing them, but I use a Keeper just fine). The disposable ones are called Instead and are available at CVS and I think Walgreens, or at softcup.com.
