Questions about Colposcopy

Hello all. So today I had my first colposcopy. It really wasn't that big of a deal, and four hours later, I feel no pain or cramping. However, I do have a few questions about what comes next.

First of all, my doctor said no sex for three days. This came as a huge surprise to me since I had read you should abstain for 1-2 weeks. What are your experiences with this?

Second, my gyn said we would most likely be freezing the affected areas away. She did not mention what this procedure was called and I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this procedure.

My doctor has recommended I abstain for a week or "until I'm feeling fine and the discharge/bleeding has stopped."

I will warn you that once after a colpo I had a huge chunk of that monsel's solution come out, and it was the most disgusting thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life, no joke. So now I have a policy of making sure there are no scary chunks hanging out before engaging in post-colpo sex. 0_0

I won't be seeing my boyfriend for 4-5 days so I could at least abstain that long, if not longer if I'm still feeling weird. And I'll definitely feel around by myself first to be sure there's no leftovers from the procedure. :P Thanks!
