The good news: Apparently, my large Fleurcup forms such a solid seal inside me that I can fill it up well past the rim before it starts leaking. (I base this on the fact that I can remove a cup that's basically full to the rim, then watch and listen as the menstrual fluid continues to pour out of me.) This means that with the cup alone, I can now go for slightly over an hour between bathroom trips.
The bad news: Insertion and removal with this cup is causing my posterior fourchette to tear. I think, actually, that most of the insertion teething troubles have been solved with lube (like, not that I'm going to put it there, but it would hypothetically be sufficiently lubed for anal play) and a different folding method.
Unfortunately, I've not yet found a way to remove the cup that doesn't exacerbate the tear. I've tried a standard 2-finger "pinch and pull" removal as well as hooking a single finger over the rim of the cup and wiggling it down that way. But I can't seem to find a way to squish the cup small enough to remove it without tearing. Ideas?

Date: 2010-07-04 11:25 pm (UTC)Apparently what works really well is squatting down pantsless in the bathtub. (Well, the squatting is probably the most helpful. The bathtub provides a convenient place to drip blood. And pantsless... well, that is just very often better anyway.)
Not exactly a spectacular solution in the long run, but if I can manage it sometimes for the next few months, that may be all I need. Now, off to scheme about how to squat in the bathroom at work... ;)

I will think about this more when I am on fewer drugs.
