I've been on Alesse for the past 5ish months and i've noticed that i've had such uncontrollable rage that it makes me literally sick to my stomach. Today for example, i was blowdrying my hair and my hair wasn't drying fast enough, so i suddenly got extremely angry and threw my hairbrush so hard against my bed it split in half. I was shaking so much and grinding my teeth, and i literally thought i was going to explode if i didn't start punching something HARD. When these episodes are over i start crying and become so overwhelmed with guilt that i feel nauseous. I've also screamed at just about everybody i know for absolutely no reason, which scares them because I'm NEVER like this. I've even broken dishes in my kitchen and cracked a floor tile from one of the episodes.

I've heard of people having bad mood swings on HBC, but i really don't think this is normal. I've NEVER had a history of anger problems, and i was completely fine until i went on this pill. I was on yasmin before this pill and also had bad side effects, minus mood swings.

Anyone have any advice? I know i obviously need to talk to my doctor about this, but i'm worried that since Alesse and Yasmin are both two of the lowest combination pills and i've had horrible experiences with both, HBC just won't work for me at all.

I usually suggest people try sticking with a new HBC for a month so the effects can settle. This is not one of those usual times. Stop taking them now!
These not working for you doesn't mean no other type will, just be explicit with your healthcare practitioner that you must have one with a very different hormonal balance this time. I know from experience that different pills can have hugely different effects.
I really really feel for you. Hope you feel better soon. x

Sorry, having re-read your post, I think I should add that maybe it would be best if you try a non-combi pill? I'm on a POP, and I love it. Not saying it will definitely work for you, but maybe it'd be worth a try.
