At odds with my vagina

Okay so I posted here a few days ago with YI woes.  Unfortunately my vagina is still being mean, and confusing the hell out of me.

I used gentian violet Monday-Wednesday to try to treat the YI.  Today things are finally starting to look normal again down there and I've noticed some weirdness.  My whole vulva is now very red, raw, and sensitive.  Could it be a reaction to the gentian violet or is it just yeast infection shenanigans? Is there anything I can do to soothe the redness/rawness? I'm almost afraid to put anything else down there.

Finally, I'm not sure if the gentian violet cured my YI or not.  I've pretty much had white/yellow discharge with the consistency of mucus for the duration of this YI.  Now I'm having lots and lots of clear discharge.  I've had minimal itching, and I'm not really certain what a normal vag odor is supposed to smell like, so I'm kind of at a loss there.....

Any answeres are greatly appriciated

Oh god I hope you're right! I've been battling this thing for over a month and a half. I'm just afraid I had a nasty reaction to the gentian violet or something because the redness and rawness only appeared after I used it....
