bleeding after monistat?

I know I've been asking a lot of yeast infection questions lately, but this one is proving to be particularly problematic.

I tried monistat 3 and about the second day, I noticed that some of the cream that was leaking out had a slight pink tinge to it. Very slight. I figured it would go away, and continued with the medication. Nothing day 3. But today, the first day that I did not take the medication the night before, I'm noticing that all of my discharge is pink. It hasn't gotten like extremely bloody or anything...just staying consistantly pink.

My period is coming in a few days but I don't think that monistat can induce an early period. Could it maybe be that my body didn't like the chemicals of the monistat? It's gonna be really really difficult to get to the gyno until the beginning of april, so I'm hoping that someone will be able to offer some peace of mind! :-) Thanks ladies.

I think it definitely has something to do with the medication itself for what's going on in there when you are treating it, but every time I have have ever used a YI cream (Monistat or generic) the discharge/cream that comes out the next day is tinted pink or streaked with red. It will clear up. This certainly isn't out of the norm in my experience.

It's actually happened to me with the 1 Day ovule, 3 and 7 day creams. It happens less with the CVS Pharmacy generic creams. I like them much better because they don't burn like all hell and are actually soothing! (gasp! What a thought!!)

BTW, I love your username. My email is so close to it, only it's ThinkPink26!!

FWIW, I've had Monistat trigger a period, I think. Just a day or so after using the seven day cream (during which I got a lot of pink/red/orange discharge), I got a full blown period when I totally wasn't expecting it for weeks.
