Nuva Ring Question

So basically in the past I was on Loestrin 24 and fencom fe, I did not have very good luck w/ the BC pill at all, due to some health issues. So I went off it completley. I decided I wanted to try something different and decided on the ring and my doc said that would be good for me considering my conditions, I understand the directions on the ring completly, but he told me b/c my hormones are all off to keep it in 3 months and then take it out get a period ext ext instead of 3 weeks, this is confusing to me.. has anyone done it this way or should I call him and tell him I just wanna do the way the directions say.

Hehe, I know, doctors sometimes have a way of rattling off instructions that might not be so clear to someone with no medical background! They need to slow down and explain things clearly sometimes! But don't worry, you'll be fine stacking, and the added bonus of no periods is always nice, IMO :)

Hmm, I don't know, that sounds like more trouble than just inserting it with your fingers, haha. I've never had any problem getting it in. I just pinch it together to make it as thin as possible. I find it helps to lay down, so its more like you're pushing it back rather than up. Some people kind of twist it into a little figure 8, which I hear works well too. It doesn't have to be in any particular position- just as long as its inside, its working!
