Hair Removal

Hi, I'm a girl and I go to college and live away from home, so it's inconvenient for me to find the resources or time to wax. I seem to have alot of hair for a female. My facial hair grows pretty quickly. I usually wax at home, and that works pretty well, but my upper lip hair returns after three weeks, and I also have hair on my stomach. Unfortunately, I have dark hair, so it's noticeable. Is this normal? Is it a hormonal issue? Is there a certain hair removal cream or wax or method I could use to impede hair growth altogether, or at least prolong the hair growth period to longer than 4 weeks? It's so inconvenient. Thanks!

it's a problem with your hormones but it affects a lot of different things and excessive hair grown particuarlly in "male" areas like the face can be a symptom.

take a look and see if anything is similar to your situation.

hair is also a genetic thing so are your family members the same? do the women have darker facial hair? if so it's more than likely to be an inherited thing.

Hmm...according to that link the only symptom I seem to have is the hair growth. I don't think it's genetic because I don't notice the hair growth on my mother or sister, or my cousins and aunts.

it might be worth asking your doctor to run your hormone levels just to check that out.
