Vagisil, cortisone, and itch-x are just medications to counteract the itching reaction, but you could have a YI/fungus on your skin. (Think jock itch...) If you got a little tube of cream with your Monistat you could try using that on the area, or get some Lotrimin (I'm not sure if they still sell gyno-lotrimin) and try applying that to the area for a few days.
