It's the only way to describe it. It was like the nausea was centering in my nose and sinuses instead of in my gut. Very strange. Very unpleasant, too.

No cramping, in my case.

Mind, what [livejournal.com profile] queensugar said -- HBC has various funky side effects, and condoms + the pills are unlikely to result in pregnancy. (I use condoms alone, and the only time there was an actual pregnancy was when we dispensed with any contraception at all.)

I fear that I'm going to be kind of annoying here, though -- google up decidual bleeding. I had light bleeding for around 3 months of my pregnancy that mimicked a very, very light, spotty "period." In your case? You're probably just reacting to the pills, or have a stomach bug. But in general, a pregnancy test or a really heavy period is the only way to be sure. (I've heard there are pregnancy tests at Dollar Stores, that are just as good as the more expensive ones.)

Also note that if you don't take 21 days of active pills, your protection will be compromised. Use back-up protection (such as the condoms you're already using, heh!) for your period week, and for 7 days after starting your next pack.

Luck!
